SeekFast is available in two versions - Free and Full version. SeekFast supports searching files of nearly all popular programming languages: PHP (php), C and C + + (c, cpp, h), Java (java, jsp), Perl (pl, plx), HTML (html, htm), XML (xml), properties, log files. With SeekFast this happens in a second, which can save you many hours of digging and searching in the code. When thousands of files are available, it is extremely difficult to find a function, variable or text throughout them.

SeekFast is extremely useful for searching in large software projects. If you want to view only the text, you can click on the phrase and see the text surrounding it. You can open the corresponding file with one click. For greater convenience, search terms are highlighted in red. You get the file names and sentences containing your search words immediately. SeekFast can search in all Microsoft Word documents, PDF, Excel, PowerPoint, OpenOffice, LibreOffice, LaTeX, RTF and text files in a folder and its subfolders on your computer. You may want to open settings and choose a different default directory if you’ll frequently be searching the same directory.SeekFast is a software tool for quick and easy text search on your computer. SeekFast is only available for Windows systems, so macOS and Linux users will need to look for another option. What if you’re looking to find specific text inside of a Microsoft Word document or a PDF, but you’re not sure which file is the right one? What Is SeekFast? You can drop down to the command line to search within plain text files, but that’s only part of the problem. As long as you have a rough idea what the file name is, you’re good to go.įinding specific content within files, on the other hand, can still be fairly difficult. No matter what you’re looking for, tracking down a specific file doesn’t present much of a challenge. On a modern operating system, finding files is a solved problem.
